- Prepare by cleaning and shaving (if necessary) the area before applying.
- Apply a thick amount of numbing cream (2mm thick) to the area and rub in thoroughly.
- For maximum numbing effect, leave cream for at least 45 minutes - 1 hour prior to procedure. No more, no less.
- Adults & Children 12 years and older, clean the affected area.
- Spray modestly on the area for which pain relief is desired.
- Wait a few minutes to measure the numbing effect.
- Re-apply as needed, up to 3 times daily.
Tattoo Aftercare: The Do's
1. Keep It Clean
- Immediately after the session: Your artist will cover your tattoo with a protective barrier. This is to prevent airborne bacteria from invading your wound. The dressing can usually be removed after a few hours, as advised by your artist.
- Washing: Gently wash your tattoo area twice a day with lukewarm water and mild, antimicrobial soap. Let the area dry completely.
2. Moisturize
- Hydration is key: After cleaning, apply a thin layer of your Painless Tattoo Aftercare product. This keeps the tattoo hydrated and promotes healing. Keep it moisturized. BUT, Avoid over-moisturizing, as this can suffocate the tattoo and cause issues.
3. Protect From the Sun
- Do not expose your fresh tattoo to the sun until healed.
- Sunscreen: Once healed, protect your tattoo from sun damage by applying a high-SPF, broad-spectrum sunscreen. This prevents fading and maintains the vibrancy of your tattoo.
4. Allow Time to Heal
- Patience: Healing times vary, but generally, a tattoo takes about 2-4 weeks to heal on the surface and up to 6 months below the surface. Follow your artist’s advice and give your skin the time it needs.
5. Wear Appropriate Clothing
- Loose and breathable: Opt for clothing that doesn’t rub against your new tattoo. Natural fabrics like cotton allow the skin to breathe and heal.
6. Avoid Water Immersion
- No swimming or soaking: Keep your tattoo out of pools, hot tubs, and bathtubs until it fully heals to avoid infection and ink loss.
7. Temporarily Modify Workouts
- Be careful with: Heavy sweating and stretching of the skin can hinder the healing process. Limit intense physical activity for a bit,

Obviously there’s no fool proof way to make it 100% pain free, but this definitely made my first tattoo experience smooth! We were able to thug it out for 5.5 hours with occasional numbing spray to help toward the end. I will definitely be using for the remainder of my sleeve

I was very sceptical as I’ve tried numbing cream in the past and once it worn off, the pain was unbearable. Yesterday I used Painless Tattoo for the first time, I sat through a 5 hour session with ease. What I also liked was that it gradually wore off, allowing the body to get use to the pain. I will be buying bucket loads of this stuff🤘🏼😂

The lotion butter is great. I used it multiple times a day and my tattoo hardly peeled at all. Keeping it moisturized is the key. Love the stuff. The numbing stuff didn’t really help with me, I don’t really know why but I applied it two hours before like it says but I felt every needle punch. But it could just be my body. Love your stuff! I’m getting another tattoo this weekend so looking forward to treating it with your products!
Painless Numbing Cream is excellent! This was my first time ever trying a numbing cream, and huge thanks to my artist for recommending it. While it was active, I honestly didn’t feel a thing on my neck or throat during the tattoo. The numbness unfortunately doesn’t last very long, and once it wears off, the pain definitely kicks in harder! But even then, this product made the session way more tolerable. The numbing spray was an absolute lifesaver too. Highly recommend both! I’ll definitely be buying more for my next session to finish up my neck tattoo.!

This stuff works great, I applied about a 2mm thick layer for 45 min as directed by the instructions and it definitely numbed my skin to a pain of 0. I had no pain at all, however this only lasted about 45 for me so I am skeptical of the reviews saying it lasts for 2-3 hours because I didn’t even get a full hour. For that reason I would say it is just a little overpriced. With that being said, my tattoo artist said the skin was just like normal to tattoo and I had very little redness from the product. In my opinion you should get more coverage for the price point but it does work.

I was skeptical at first but after following the directions, I’ve got to say I’m impressed! The cream numbing lasted about 5 hours and the only sensation I had was feeling slight pressure on areas where my artist was having to layer in lots of color. After the numbness wore off, we hit it with the spray, waited about 30 minutes and started in again. The spray took the edge off for the last 3 hours and I honestly fell asleep through part of it. Needless to say, I’m impressed and I’ll definitely be using this product for my three day session in July.

A friend of mines brother works with painless tattoos (he is a tattoo artist) and she highly recommended I check you all out! After reading comment from other people’s experience with painless tattoo I was down to try it and I am so dang glad I did! I bought the starter kit and went through 1 packet of cream and 1 application of spray during my 8 hour session which included finishing outlining and getting some more shading done on my sleeve and I did not feel a thing throughout!!! With the numbing cream itself, I was able to sit through 4-5 hours before needing to apply the spray! Without the cream I would have sweat through 2 layers of shirts and my shorts honestly from pain, but I didn’t have to worry about it thanks to you guys!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product, especially for sensitive areas! 💛💛

About an hour before my session, I got in the shower, exfoliated the area and applied a thick layer of the numbing cream. I wiped off the access right before the session started and I was completely numb for the full 5 hours. I could not even feel anything even in the most sensitive areas. I love this product!!

Didn't see the text with the code so I just bought it without the discount. Emailed customer service to try and get the discount even sent the screenshot from painless tattoo. But they claimed it was an invalid code. But how when I sent the screenshot directly from PT!?!?! Money is too tight to not use a discount when its 70+ dollars for 2 lil things of numbing stuff. For that reason I will buy elsewhere next time
Most likely different results for different people. With only the cream application on for just under an hour, not so affective. After using some of the spray to kick it up, worked fairly well as a team.
This rib tattoo took 2 DAYS 😂 the cream worked amazing the first 2-4 hours. And then after that we had to rely on the spray and when I tell you 0/10 pain level once that sprays hits! I almost fell asleep certain parts I was so numb!
The numbing spray is great for when a client is struggling a bit during a long session. Most importantly I don't really notice such a big change in the skins texture when tattooing with the spray like with some numbing agents (especially creams) and it heals the same as normal so it's a win win really. It does rub off the stencil(which can sometimes be useful), so make sure that's all in before applying. My clients absolutely love it, no allergic reactions from anyone yet so very happy. I'm now officially a regular!

We changed the packaging of Painless Tattoo™ Numbing Cream for several reasons.
- To promote better sanitation. Despite our old tubes being equal to one dose, many customers would attempt to save them. Once a product like this is open, beyond sanitary concerns, the product can also lose it's potency.
