Shave or don’t shave …..but Exfoliate the area you want your tattoo or a few areas If you’re undecided with soap and rinse with warm water. I used scrub and warm water. Pat dry. Apply the cream 1-2mm thick, Leave it on for 45minutes despite what the instructions say… and wrap it air tight. I found out that pressure also speeds up the activation time. Remove everything and start over but this time don’t exfoliate. Leave it on until the artist takes it off because that means they are ready. Don’t worry about leaving it on to long…. 1-2 hours before your appointment is good. After the artist does your outline (depending on how big your piece is or your pain tolerance ) that’s when you use the spray. Have them spray it all over until the sting is gone and bam ! Another 45 or so of numbing and just repeat as you go. It takes about 1-2 hours before you will even need the spray and if your piece is small you might only need it once. If you are just using the spray on untattooed skin I don’t think it would be as affective all though I have never tried the spray alone.

I hate tattoos well the pain lol I’ve tried lidocaine cream and it didn’t help so my wife finally bought this and I didn’t feel her do a thing this is the first tattoo she’s done on me that she was able to complete all the way without me complaining and stopping every two mins ! I strongly recommend all tattoo artist or people who love ink but can’t take pain like me to get this ! It works and you’re definitely numb for hours ! What I would say is make sure you wrap with plastic after applying the cream or it won’t be as affective !

My artist applied the cream about 40 minutes prior to starting and I didn’t feel a thing. Lasted me about 3 hours, and we re-applied a little bit more and I was about to last about 4 more hours before it wore off again. I’ll be heading back later this month to finish this belly piece and I’ll definitely be using this product again, it’s top notch stuff! I recommend this to anyone that’s getting tattooed and doesn’t want to endure the pain!

I applied one tube of cream to my lower back 2 hours before my appt. and then I removed 1 hour before. It worked so well, it was amazing. He was able to complete my tattoo in 2 hours. I was skeptical because I would see mixed reviews. This product works, I honestly believed it would have taken so much longer and I would've been in agony the entire time. Best thing ever, will definitely use again. I have recommended it others who are getting sensitive spots.

I used painless tattoo the other day getting void stamps over an old couples tattoo. The original tattoo SUCKED, that spot was super sensitive. For the void stamps, I used the numbing cream, then when we took breaks I used the spray, and I literally couldn't feel the needle. I could feel him stretching my skin, and it felt raw when he would wipe, but nothing hurt for about 2 hours, and then it was just normal after-tat pain.

If you actually shave before applying, wrap it. And leave on for at least 40 minutes you feel nothing but the vibration of the gun. Perfect for the more painful spots like elbows, collar bone, etc

Holy cow, it really does work! I was skeptical to say the least, but now I'm very impressed. Not a stranger to tattoos but it wears on me after about 3 hours. Last time I used regular lidocaine cream. It helped but not a lot. Last night I used the Painless Tattoo cream and doubted its effectiveness up until my artist started cleaning off my leg. I couldn't feel the cold. Then when he started to tattoo, nothing. It literally blew my mind!! We only spent about 2 hours on the sea horse and some mermaid scales, but I didn't feel any pain at all. 10/10 recommend! I’ve used one other gel that worked well but I will use this product for my future appointments. Completely numb on the areas that I applied an adequate amount. The areas where the product was applied a little thin wore off sooner. I think the meatier the area, the better the outcome. Used one tube on the outside of my forearm from wrist to elbow.
